We got a lot done on the bathroom this weekend. We got one wall almost tiled completely! We’ve never tiled a vertical surface before, so we knew there would be some learning curve involved. It’s going to look NICE. My handyman hubby does such good work. I know it doesn’t sound like we did a lot, but if you were to see it, you’d realize. Of course, he wanted to get the whole thing done, but that’s just not possible. He’s gotten exponentially faster at it, and we should be able to finish it next weekend. (And, then it’s on to the floor!)
One reason it took so long to really get in the groove yesterday with the tiling was that we were using a tiling book we got. We didn’t realize that the REAL title of the book was “The IN-Complete Guide to Tiling.” Ack! There were some very key elements left out of the book. I ended up pulling some ‘how to’ guides off the internet, and we got it all figured out. It was pretty comical (looking back now), and it all worked out in the end.
Normally, we pull our guides off the internet anyway, but this book looked really cool, with its fancy pictures. A picture may be worth a thousand words, but not including all the words (to crucial steps) is worth about two hours. And, that’s a lot! 
Oh well. Like I said, we got back on track, and it’s going to look great.
