It was getting to be time for dinner, and we were trying to decide what to have to eat. My hubby asks me, “So, what would you like to have for dinner tonight?”
“I don’t know…” I said. “Claire, what would you like to eat?”
“No,” she replied matter-of-factly.
I decided to have a little fun with her answer. As my friends from college can attest, they would often accuse me of taking things too literally, to which I would respond, “How is that possible? I don’t even know where Literally is…let alone be able to take something there.”
“You want to have No for dinner? I don’t know what kind of food No is! Claire, what does No taste like?” I asked her.
“No tastes yucky, Momma,” she replied, just as plain as day.
I don’t know about you, but I think I’d rather have Yes for dinner.

What a clever response! I agree, “No” does taste yucky. “Yes” is always better. That’s 80% of my problem. Oh, and I like to drink “Yes” too.
Just say ‘no’ to Yes!
