So, you’ve heard the following joke, right?
If April Showers bring May Flowers, what do May Flowers bring?
Pilgrims!
Well, here in Colorado, I hope the Pilgrims are bringing shovels.
All that beeping you heard was not the garbage truck backing up. It was what happened when we tried to play the script back from when we looked out the window this morning.
This is, after all, a family show.
Edited to add: At least by Noon the roads were steaming and/or already dry. Reason #523 I love it here.

wow! i cannot believe you have snow! hate to say it, but it’s about 85 here
See, that’s the thing…it’s been upper 70s all week and will be again the rest of the week!
and you know as well as I do that we could still be posting posts like this at the end of May, but it IS one of the glories of Colorado for once the snow melted and the lakes in my yard subsided it was a beautiful day – Oh, except that constant pouring down the downspouts kept making me have to go…can you say Detral?
You know, as crazy as our weather seems to outsiders, I love having such nice days, even if it is mixed in with the unsavory. You know, that’s one of the reasons we love it here. Our snow rarely stays around long enough to get dirty. It’s just not like that in the Midwest.
That was a crazy snow wasn’t it!?!? I feel asleep to rain and woke to snow.
So, true, Mia! Welcome to Colorado, I guess.
