Then we got an electric one, and it seemed to take even longer to make! My dad usually traveled to Grand Junction in late June, and would stop in Palisade for peaches. Or we'd do strawberry. Yum. It would finally be done right about the time the fireworks started, which we'd watch from our roof in Aurora. Nothing is better than homemade ice cream. No way, really? 5 to 10 minutes? We've done the same in coffee cans. A smaller one (like the quart bag) inside a larger one (like the gallon bag). But it was always difficult to come up with enough cans. This is a more convenient alternative. Yum! This is brilliant!
