When Claire was not even a month old, one of my sisters crocheted a cute little outfit for her.

Claire was so cute in it, and kept trying to eat the tasty flower bow throughout the whole photoshoot.
When she grew out of it, I tucked it away in her closet for safe-keeping. It was much too special to put in the donation/sell bin.
Well, now that Baby Rose has come to live with us, I got out the outfit for her to use. Here is a photo I took of Claire and Baby Rose this morning. You’ll notice the same outfit, but do you notice anything different, other than the fact that four years has somehow zipped by in the blink of an eye? Do you notice anything different about Claire?

She has granted me permission to post this photo. In it is something that she is so excited about…a special milestone that I’ll talk about soon…
…a milestone other than the fact that I’ve become a Grandmother much earlier than I anticipated.

I was just going to say when I looked at the picture, before reading the post. “Claire got glasses!” so cute! Does she love them? Tell her I think they look fab!
Jolene, she LOVES them! She was very disappointed that she had to WAIT to take them home.
Now Claire is not only beautiful, she looks cool and artsy! Also, Claire looked like a baby doll when she was a baby, and prettier than her beautiful doll.
She is growing up fast, and she even looks more grown up with glasses. she’s gonna be like you if your not careful. Enjoy the time you have with her, next thing you know she’ll be in 3rd grade or a senior in high school. time fly’s when your not watchin.
I love the glasses! How sweet!
THanks!
And I’ll reply to your email as soon as my #$^&#%$*$ computer is back from the shop. I’m sorry it’ll be a week or so!
Sarah, Thanks!! I’m so glad she loves them. She WAS a like a babydoll. I just can’t believe she’s so big now!!
Thanks, Brenda! We just can’t get over how old she looks now. It’s all good stuff…but will take some getting used to.
Thanks, Jen! I’m sorry to hear about your computer woes! (But, with a brand name like #$^%$*$ can you really be surprised? Just kidding.)
Noticed the glasses thought they look great. But still looking to see if she had eaten the flower!!
Ha! Thanks, Laura! No, she was not successful in eating the flowers. There is one on the hat and one on the shawl…though a little slobbery (just kidding…they dried out nicely), they are still there!
Congratulations, Claire on the glasses AND the new baby. And congratulations grandmamma, too!
I love her new specs! She looks adorable in them.
XUP…thanks!! What they say is true, so far, raising a grandbaby is MUCH easier than my own child. LOL!
Thanks, Gretchen! I was very pleased with the selection of kids’ frames they had. I think she chose wisely.
Claire has glasses and that is what surprised me! She is getting old that fast! She is also now artsy like her parents, I presume.
Claire’s glasses are wonderful – she looks so grown up! Cole (8) got glasses just two weeks ago and we’ve been really pumping them up – he is very excited too! (Isn’t the selection amazing? Cole’s are rimless and match his haircolor.)
My daughter still loves her baby doll at 9 years old – I think they’re so wonderful!
Love the glasses!
What great pictures. That’s so great that she made that for her. Something to keep for all time.
