We had Claire’s Ballet Gala on Saturday and took her in for a Ballerina Photo Shoot on Sunday.
This time, rather than stick to the one-pose-only deal, Daddy bought Momma a set of photos for Mother’s Day. This time, we have a CD full of images, some of which we had printed, and others we only have in electronic form.
It’s so hard to choose, especially when given free reign. To be honest, they were all good, but we printed ones that show our little ballerina in ballerina-form. I’ll be posting little photos of our Ballerina all week. (Lucky you! *cough*)
When looking at the disc last night, I came across one of my favorite images that didn’t show Claire as a ballerina, but as Claire.
You know when you come across one that just captures a person’s true essence?
That look? That smile? The laugh that is just starting to bubble up, but it hasn’t escaped yet? The mischief brewing and plots thickening?
THIS is Typical Claire.

Ha ha! I have one of my daughter with her arms cross looking very smug. Same thing – totally “caught in the moment”!
Quite the little knowing smile she’s got there!
And curiously enough, that’s a very similar look to her mama. Hrm….who’s the schemer in the household?
She is so adorable… and you can exactly see her essence in that photo. Happy Mother’s Day, JoAnn!
Oh, there’s a lot going on in that essence! Sure to give you years of joy while you try to figure out all that makes her tick. True beauty from within. You can’t fake that.
She gets that look from you, you naughty little scamp. But still, ADORABLE!
I have to agree with Nathan and Wendy – that look came from Momma alright!
Thanks, Mary-Francis!
Nathan, I have no idea what you’re talking about. *ahem*
Thanks, Serra! I hope you had a great one, too!
Rajean, that’s so true.
Wendy & Empress E! My feathers would be ruffled if what you were saying wasn’t actually completely true. Hee hee.
My God, what a delightful photo!
Personality all over the place!
Aww, thanks, Jen!
