Gilda’s Selfie

Who is Gilda?

She’s the newest addition to our family. (Yes, I name my cell phones. Since 2009, I’ve only had 3, so I don’t think that’s too obsessive. Glenda was my first “smartphone,” and then there was Eva. Last weekend, I got Gilda, because Eva had become rather geriatric. Bless her heart. Gilda is also a HTC like Eva, but she’s a HTC One M8. She’s gold. Gilded. Gilda.)

Last night, we took a selfie. Actually, SHE took the selfie herself. I just held her. Yes, really.

Stop looking at me like that.

Then, I played around with the “Ok, Google” feature (You ask the phone a question, verbally, and she verbally responds with the answer) and said, “Ok, Google: What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?” and she said, “Did you mean what is the airspeed velocity of an unladen EUROPEAN swallow?”

I’m in love with a robot.

Negative Space Leaves

I spent the majority of the day NOT painting leaves. That said, my "Negative Space Leaves" watercolor project today turned out rather positive, if I do say so myself. This one was a lot of fun!

A warm fall day, turned gorgeous night

What a fantastic day! It's turned into a gorgeous evening. We capped it off with a walk around the lake tonight. Bliss.

Claire & Clark

(Clark is newly minted from Dad's homemade CNC Router. He's made from some old paneling we ripped out of the basement eons ago.) Neato, man!
