Product Review: Sandwich Thins
I don’t normally review food items. Food preferences are so subjective. One person’s “Oh, wow! You have to taste this!” could be another person’s “Gross! What’s that smell!?”
That being said, I’m really glad I had a chance to review the 100% Whole Wheat Sandwich Thins by Arnold (or Oroweat, depending on which side you are of the Mississippi).
I loved these! They were tasty. They were like pitas but soft. (Are pitas supposed to be soft? Maybe I’m getting the wrong kind of pitas…but I digress…) They had a nice flavor. If you’re a Weight Watchers type of person, they’re only 1-point per serving, and a serving actually makes sense.
My husband loved them. He makes a lot of sandwiches during the week for his work lunches, and they passed his finicky tests with flying colors.
I thought they were great, and I was sad when we ate them all. I will definitely look for them on my next trip to the grocery store.
What did Claire think? She’s a preschooler, so her likes and dislikes in the food department change rapidly and with no warning. She can go from loving to hating to loving something in the same meal.
“Are those big cookies?” she asked, with a glint of hope in her eyes.
“No, they aren’t cookies. They’re like bread. Do you want to try them? Here, try them!”
“Ew. There’s crust all over them! I don’t want to try them!”
And so ended our attempt at getting her to try them. To be honest, I didn’t push her too hard, because that meant there were more for us. Luckily, we finished the bag before she could change her mind.
The Casual Perfectionist received a free package of Sandwich Thins from Arnold (Oroweat) in exchange for an honest review. This review also appears at Mile High Mamas.
